During 2009 Torquay Golf Club celebrated its Centenary Year and we have a proud history. Names which include Harry Vardon and J.H. Taylor, both of whom opened the new clubhouse in 1911, are associated with Torquay Golf Club and six times major winner Nick Faldo won his first winners cheque at Torquay as a young professional.

Membership at TORQUAY GOLF CLUB includes those indispensable and distinguishing attributes which are fundamental in a true "Members Club".
Torquay is a family club with an active membership of Ladies, Gents, Juniors and Social members enjoying both golf and social events throughout the year. New members and visitors are sure to receive a warm and courteous welcome.
There is always something happening: Golf competitions for Men, Ladies, Mixed golf and Juniors plus an enjoyable social calendar.
For Juniors we run Friday Junior golfing evenings and coaching
lessons throughout the summer months.
The location of Torquay Golf Club, being just a short distance from St Marychurch and Babbacombe, is ideal - and many members live within walking distance.
Our annual fees start from 1st November, however we promote joining Torquay Golf Club at any time during the year at pro-rata fees.

Membership notes:
● University – 18-21 years.
● Joining fee for Juniors 12-17 £50, for Intermediates 18-21 £100.
● Country – No joining fee. Must be member of another club. Over 100 miles distant - allows 20 games per year.
● Social and spouse membership – own bar discount card. * Retired social – needs to have been a full member for 10 years previously and be of retirement age.
● Joining fee £500 – if paid in one installment or 5 payments of £100 over 5 years
● Joining fee and subscription may be paid by direct debit
● £50 non-refundable deposit is requested for applicant to be placed on the waiting list. Offset against joining fee when membership offered
● To be placed on the waiting list complete the Membership Questionnaire Form and send together with a cheque for £50 made out to Torquay Golf Club
